AAAS' Center for Science Diplomacy aims to build bridges between science and foreign affairs communities. This includes outreach to societies where politics may have led to strained or severed official relationships.

Talking STEM with Ambassadors

The Ambassador Interview Series is a new initiative of AAAS' Center for Science Diplomacy where the Center's staff conducts interviews with Ambassadors posted in Washington, D.C. on their experience with science diplomacy.

Filipa Godoy-Vitorino

As president of the AAAS Caribbean Division, Filipa Godoy-Vitorino is focused on strengthening the ties among scientists throughout the Caribbean basin. She also chairs the Department of Microbiology and Zoology at the University of Puerto Rico’s School of Medicine in San Juan.
