Federal Government Funding Deadline Looming

At the time of this writing, Congress has until midnight September 30 to pass a short-term continuing resolution
to fund the federal government, or they risk a government shutdown. AAAS is working with partner organizations
and providing guidance to media on the negative ripple effects a shutdown would have on federally funded R&D and the broader STEMM ecosystem.

AAAS' EPI Center Tackles Responsible AI Use with State and Local Governments

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has opened a new realm of possibilities for our world, but its dangers are also more apparent than ever. AAAS' Center for Scientific Evidence in Public Issues (EPI Center) has been hard at work helping local and state governments learn how to use AI responsibly and to the benefit of the communities they serve.
