April is Earth Month. April 22 is Earth Day. The idea of Earth Month is that we should care about and learn about our home for more than just a single day of the year. Dedicating one full month of the year to an enhanced focus on climate change can help everybody develop more eco-friendly lifestyles. Experts say there is a lot we can do as individuals to counter the climate crisis. At the top of the list is pushing governments and businesses to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions that we know are upending Earth's climate. Niklas Hagelberg, Coordinator of the UN Environment Programme's (UNEP) program on Climate Change stated that "through collective action, people really can reduce emissions substantively and build resilience to climate change." Together we can all play a part in helping to care for our environment. Feel empowered to effect change!

What are some changes you and your various communities are implementing to reduce your carbon footprint?
