This April, I'd like to highlight how members of the AAAS community are strengthening their public engagement skills through the AAAS Learning Hub.
The AAAS Learning Hub supports STEMM professionals in building communication, leadership, and engagement capacity through flexible, on-demand courses. Some of these opportunities can be aligned with the Local Science Engagement Network (LSEN) to make science more accessible, relevant, and actionable across communities.
One course that stood out to me was Why AI Matters Now in Science & Science Education for All Learners Confirmation, which explores how artificial intelligence is transforming science and education, while highlighting a growing digital divide in who can effectively use these tools. I found the focus on inclusive, community-centered approaches especially valuable for strengthening public engagement.
The AAAS Learning Hub platform responds to member needs, offering accessible training that supports engagement across sectors and career stages.
