Hi Everyone,
AAAS is looking for a science-policy leader in Utah to help grow the Local Science Engagement Network (LSEN) and connect STEMM professionals with local policymakers. This volunteer position runs from November 2025 to November 2026 and includes a $5,000 honorarium.
As a Utah LSEN Liaison, you'll:

Recruit scientists, engineers, and STEMM students to expand Utah's LSEN network.

Lead 1–2 community engagement activities with AAAS support.

Participate in monthly meetings, develop a local LSEN strategy, and provide progress updates.

Engage with local legislative committees and contribute to Science & Technology Notes.

Attend events, build partnerships, and receive specialized LSEN liaison training.
