We're excited to launch the LSEN Community Learning Forum, a webinar series of skill-building workshops designed to help you apply scientific information effectively at the local level. Our first session features Dr. Rachel Owen as well as comments from Deputy Director of Federal Affairs Sean Gallagher from the AAAS Office of Government Relations.  

Dr. Owen will share insights on why building trusted, long-term relationships with policymakers is essential for impactful science engagement. She will also explore the research behind why relationships matter in science policy, discuss the opportunities during the upcoming August recess, and share practical strategies for initiating and sustaining meaningful connections with policymakers at federal, state, and local levels. 

Open to all STEMM professionals, this interactive event is a great opportunity to enhance your skills, expand your network, and empower your continued efforts to serve your community through scientific engagement.
