AAAS EPI Center Project Director Kate Stoll was recently featured in a Minneapolis news segment discussing the growing conversations communities are having around data centers and local decision-making.

During the interview, Kate shared the importance of helping communities better understand the potential local impacts of proposed data centers and encouraging thoughtful, evidence-informed conversations around issues such as energy use, water, infrastructure, and community impact.

"We don't have a horse in the race, so it's more about can we help bring the scientific evidence that's independent, non-biased, nonpartisan, into the conversation." - Kate Stoll

As communities across the country continue navigating these discussions, the EPI Center's resource, Key Questions to Ask When Considering Data Centers in Your Community, offers questions and resources that may help local leaders and community members engage with the topic more thoughtfully and confidently.

Are conversations around data centers happening in your community? If conversations around data centers are emerging in your community, we'd be interested in hearing how these resources may help support local engagement and discussion.
