EPI Center Webinar | Reversing the Trend: Strategies for Groundwater Recovery

When:  May 21, 2026 from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM (ET)

As demand for freshwater grows -- for agricultural, industrial, and domestic uses -- groundwater depletion is a rising concern in many local communities and states. To address this challenge communities are crafting new policy approaches and exploring innovative strategies such as recharging aquifers and shifting water sources.

On May 21, 2026, join the AAAS EPI Center and the Science Press Package team for a virtual policymaker briefing: Reversing the Trend: Strategies for Groundwater Recovery. A panel of experts will share recent research evaluating interventions that led to groundwater recovery and share their experiences implementing effective groundwater management policies and strategies.

Please join us to hear more about strategies that are working to protect and recharge groundwater, ensuring that communities will have access to freshwater for decades. There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions from the audience.
