Dear Utahns,
We are conducting a research study to explore how science and scientists contribute to policy decisions in Utah. Your insights as policymakers, policy influencers, community members, and scientists are critical to this effort. The study focuses on understanding perceptions of the role of science among critical stakeholders and identifying ways to strengthen collaboration and trust between these groups. Overall, the study aims to:
-
Assess Perceptions: Determine how various stakeholders perceive the role of science and scientists in policy.
-
Identify Influential Factors: Explore factors such as trust in scientific expertise and access to science that shape these perceptions.
-
Explore Communication Channels: Examine how effectively scientists and policymakers communicate and collaborate.
-
Inform Best Practices: Provide actionable insights to enhance the integration of scientific knowledge into policy-making processes.
The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. Your feedback will inform efforts to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and policy action. Please be assured that your responses will be kept private and confidential. Individual responses will never be shared outside the research team, and reports will only include an aggregate analysis of reactions.
