Virtual #SciEngage Meeting (June 2019): Pairing Scientists and Artists to Create Infographics

The next #SciEngage webinar will take place Friday, June 29 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. EDT. 

Join Michael Kantar from the University of Hawaii as he describes a novel science communication project involving collaborative creation of infographics. Using an integrated approach pairing researchers with graphic designers and media content creators, the project generated infographics that are both scientifically accurate and visually arresting, greatly improving upon the typical illustrations used in scientific media. Dr. Kantar will share examples of the works produced during the project, talk about lessons learned, and discuss how this model can be adapted and scaled up throughout the scientific community.
