The next SciEngage discussion will take place on FRIDAY NOVEMBER 8 at 12 PM EST, when we will review the 2019 InclusiveSciComm Symposium.
The symposium, which just marked its second year this past September, launched in 2018 to convene practitioners and researchers working across science communication, public engagement, and informal and formal educational settings, with the goal of advancing inclusive, equitable, and intersectional approaches to our work.
During the webinar, Sunshine Menezes, executive director of Metcalf Institute at the University of Rhode Island, and Hollie Smith, assistant professor of science and environmental communication at the University of Oregon, will share outcomes from the 2019 symposium, present early results from a landscape study of the field, and discuss plans for the future.
Videos of this and all past #SciEngage webinars are located on this YouTube playlist, and more information about them is on this Center for Public Engagement webpage.
